Present in the Artist's Studio daily from 4PM-8PM, Jann made her first quilt in 1969, a playpen pad. With only garment sewing experience she continued to make several other quilts without guidance until 1987. Then she found a quilt shop and took a beginner's class, where she found out there was a local Quilt Guild! She immediately joined the Guild and began taking advantage of the resources that Guild membership offers. Currently a member of 3 local Quilt Guilds and Studio Art Quilt Associates, she has been studying with regional, nationally, and internationally recognized teachers for over 30 years. There aren't many techniques that she hasn't studied and employed in her work. She enjoys making traditional, art and modern quilts with commercial and hand dyed fabrics. She has been dyeing fabric since the early ‘90s and has studied with many professional fabric dyers. She has been offering fabric dyeing and technique classes regionally since 2013.
