Get loose and explore with expressive and intuitive abstract painting. Learn non-brush painting techniques with tools such as utensils, cardboard, string, etc. on two surfaces (paper and canvas). Learn to compose with line, value, texture and form to strengthen artwork. Learn new techniques for paint application. Gain better understanding of composition in artwork. After a brief introduction (lecture and demo), students will create artwork on both paper and canvas. We will also take some time to share and give feedback on each others' work.
