This workshop is designed to improve composition, color use and likeness of the subject in portrait painting. Students will learn how to apply underpainting, color layers and texture in their choice of oils or acrylic. During this workshop we will compare and demonstrate techniques in each medium that build a portrait from the initial sketch to a finished painting. Students will work from a live model or their own photo reference.
