Heather Scarpinato is an abstract artist who resides in Sarasota. She is passionate about her custom acrylic paintings and combines many different techniques including fluid acrylic pouring, and incorporates crystals, mica powders, inks, glass, mica and metal leaf into the resin layers. Her work reflects a love of water, and latest series is entitled Happy Waters, in response to the red tide crisis. "Painting and creating is a way of life for me, I don't remember a time when I wasn't drawing, painting, or creating something! I see art as attempting to capture the movement of energy. I'm always inspired and fascinated by what I see in nature, whether it be water or sky or rocks, or colors, and my paintings reflect a love of a life spent outdoors."
